WHAT IS BOTOX®?
Botox® is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for reducing the appearance of unwanted wrinkles. Botox® is a purified protein solution that will remain in the treatment area rather than spread. When injected into the face, it temporarily relaxes facial muscles that are responsible for certain wrinkles.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT?
At your appointment, Jill Girany will consult with you about the problem areas you would like to address with Botox® injections. After meticulously studying your facial muscles and structure, Jill will artistically “map” out where to inject the Botox® to ensure the most effective treatment. Botox® injections are a small pricking sensation with very minimal to no pain. The total appointment takes about 30 minutes.
Within 10-14 days, you will begin to notice your Botox® “setting in” – your wrinkles and lines are erased, giving you smooth, youthful-looking skin! Botox®, when used at the recommended dosages, typically lasts about 3 months, although these results can vary from longer to shorter depending on the person.
Jill Girany, NP-C, has several years of experience as an Advanced Injectioner and is certified in many different injection techniques, including the patented MicroTox®.
